Today is Friday 8/19. It has been busy at the center so I have not had time to post any updates or photos. To quickly catch up, here is the notice that went out to parents on August 16 explaining what happened.

[Notice Sent Out to Parents and Posted on Facebook 8/16/2016 @ 2:30pm]
Dear Parents at Growing Kids on Ireland Road –
The record rain on Monday night caused massive flooding in
the Ireland Road area. The Ireland Road center sustained substantial flooding
damage. Pictures will be posted on Facebook because you have to see it to
believe it. The center will be closed, for an estimated 2 weeks. We will keep
you posted as the clean up continues. We know that parents depend on us to
provide safe, quality care for their children. Here is our plan to get things
back to normal for you and your child as quickly as possible.
1.
Assessment of the damage stated as soon as we
have access to the building Tuesday morning.
2.
Parents were notified once we knew what we were
dealing with and the response plan implemented.
3.
Alternate care is available at other local
Growing Kids Centers.
a.
Specific information about your child’s class
will be communicated on LifeCubby.
b.
We are recommending alternate locations to try
to keep classes together and have familiar teachers on site.
4.
Parents can transfer (visit) the Growing Kids
center we suggest or you can call a different Growing Kids that is more
convenient for you.
5.
Parents MUST CALL the center first
a.
To confirm availability (availability limited)
b.
Allow us to prepare (get files ready, etc).
6.
Plans continue to develop – we will continue to
work with parents to address their care needs throughout this time.
7.
Questions or Concerns – We expect there will be
some questions or concerns. Please call 574-970-7500 or email director.ireland@growingkids.com
We are very sorry for the trouble. We are trying to make the
best of this situation. I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Mike Garatoni
President / Founder of Growing Kids Learning Centers.
